If your solar garden lights are dimming early or not turning on at all, the problem usually isn’t the light. It’s the small battery inside. Swapping in a better rechargeable battery is one of the easiest outdoor fixes there is.
For this review, JiajaX sent me its JiajaX Ni-MH AA Rechargeable Batteries, and they were exactly what I needed for the solar lights on my front lawn. They charge from the sun during the day and keep the lights running at night.
In this JiajaX rechargeable AA batteries review, I’ll cover the specs, the install, how my lights performed, other uses, the pros and cons, and who they’re for.

Installing Them in My Solar Lights
The first thing I did was install them in my outdoor solar lights. They’re the same size as standard AA batteries, so they dropped right in without any adjustments. The swap was quick.
How the Lights Performed
In the video, you can see the lights placed along my lawn. The batteries start storing solar energy as soon as the sun hits the panels. The 600mAh capacity kept them powered through the evening without dimming too quickly.
After putting them in, the difference was noticeable right away. The lights stayed on longer through the evening, and the daily recharge cycle worked smoothly. They handled the outdoor heat and sunlight without any issues.
Why Capacity Matters
These hold more capacity than the small, low-power batteries that come with most solar lights, so the brightness stays more consistent at night. JiajaX says they can replace 100mAh to 500mAh Ni-Cd or Ni-MH AA batteries.
Other Uses
You can use these for pathway lights, garden lights, string lights, or anything else that runs on rechargeable AAs. They also work as regular household rechargeable AAs, which makes them useful beyond outdoor setups.
Set It and Forget It
They’re designed to handle repeated charging, and they recharge automatically each day through the solar panels. Once installed, they needed no extra effort and kept my front lawn lights running every night.
