EcoFlow RAPID Pro X vs Anker Prime Power Bank (26K, 300W)

EcoFlow’s RAPID Pro X and Anker’s Prime Power Bank (26K, 300W) are both aimed at the same buyer: someone who wants laptop-class power in a bag-sized battery that still goes on a plane. Each is rated for 300W total output and two-way 140W USB-C, and each sits just under the 100Wh carry-on line. EcoFlow lists 99.54Wh and Anker 99.75Wh. The differences show up in recharge speed, port layout, extras and price. I compared both makers’ spec sheets and FAQs to see where each one comes out ahead.

Ports: four devices vs three

The two banks split their 300W differently.

EcoFlow has one 140W USB-C port and two 65W USB-C ports. The included magnetic block snaps on and adds a 60 cm retractable USB-C cable. That cable also supports 140W in both directions, so you can charge four devices at once without carrying a cable.

Anker gives you two full 140W USB-C ports plus a 22.5W USB-A port.

In practice:

  • Two big laptops at full speed: The Anker can run both 140W ports at once. On the EcoFlow, the second laptop runs from the retractable 140W cable.
  • Laptop, phone, earbuds and watch: The EcoFlow’s four USB-C outputs handle this more neatly.
  • Older USB-A gear: Only the Anker has a USB-A port.

Both support PD 3.1. EcoFlow’s FAQ lists PD 3.0 PPS, QC3.0, AFC, Apple 2.4A, BC1.2, SCP, FCP and UFCS on output. For full 140W into a MacBook Pro, use a cable rated for 240W (5A).

Recharge speed

This is the biggest difference between them.

EcoFlow’s headline figure is 0–80% in 20 minutes, using its own RAPID Pro 320W charging station through the pogo pins. Over regular USB-C, EcoFlow’s Amazon listing gives 80% in 26 minutes at 280W (multi-port) and 80% in 40 minutes from a single 140W port.

Anker quotes 50% in 13 minutes and 80% in 40 minutes using both USB-C ports at 250W. Its 150W charging base is an option if you want a desk dock.

If you already own a high-wattage multi-port GaN charger, the EcoFlow refills faster. If you’ll charge from one 140W brick, the two are about even, at roughly 40 minutes to 80% per each maker.

EcoFlow adds that pass-through charging needs a charger of at least 20W, and input has to exceed output for connected devices to run at full load.

Screen and app

EcoFlow’s 3.9-inch LCD shows charge status and per-port power, and you can customize the standby graphic. A clock screensaver can be turned on in the app; it’s off by default.

The EcoFlow app connects over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. It covers power monitoring, firmware updates, themes and charging strategy, including a battery optimization mode. Anker’s Prime has its own smart display and Bluetooth app with output controls.

Both banks work fine without the app.

Modular add-ons and safety features

EcoFlow designed the RAPID Pro X around snap-on modules. EcoFlow’s European spec sheet lists two:

  • Retractable cable module (included in the U.S. kit): 92.2 g, about 23.5 x 55.7 x 64 mm.
  • Wireless charging module (sold separately): 85.4 g.

EcoFlow also sells a magnetic block with an Apple Watch charger, plus limited-edition cases, including a glow-in-the-dark one. Its FAQ confirms the watch module and special cases aren’t in the standard box.

On safety, EcoFlow’s Amazon listing describes “X-Guard” protection. It uses what EcoFlow calls UAV-grade cells and smart temperature control, which EcoFlow says lowers peak temperature by 46.4°F, along with an eco mode and charging protection. EcoFlow’s Estonian store spec sheet adds a V0 flame-retardant shell and 1 m drop resistance.

Anker’s equivalent is ActiveShield 4.0, which Anker says checks temperature 120 times per second.

Pairing the EcoFlow with its app

EcoFlow’s FAQ gives the steps:

  1. On the bank’s screen, go to Settings, then “Wi-Fi & BLE,” and switch it on.
  2. Make sure Bluetooth is on for your phone, then tap “+” on the EcoFlow app home screen.
  3. Pick a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password. Or tap “Set up later” to stay on Bluetooth only.
  4. When the device page opens, look for the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth icon at the top to confirm it’s connected.

Once it’s paired, update the firmware. EcoFlow recommends this even though the bank works straight out of the box.

Running a laptop and Starlink Mini

Both meet Starlink’s requirement for powering the Mini over USB-C: 100W USB PD at 20V/5A minimum, with Starlink’s USB-C to barrel jack cable. Starlink lists average draw at 25–40W.

Energy losses mean neither bank delivers its full ~99.6Wh. EcoFlow’s FAQ attributes the shortfall to losses in the battery and conversion circuits. Here are my estimates with about 55–70Wh actually delivered:

Load Either bank (estimate)
Starlink Mini alone (25–40W) ~1.4–2.8 hours
13-inch MacBook Air (M2, 52.6Wh battery) ~1–1.3 charges (EcoFlow’s Amazon listing says up to 1.3)
iPhone 16 Up to 4.5 charges (EcoFlow’s claim)
Steam Deck Up to 1.4 charges (EcoFlow’s claim)

For a full day of Starlink, a DC bank like the XTAR MP158 or a small power station lasts longer. See my Starlink Mini USB-C power guide for cables, or the STARGEAR 140W retractable cable.

Travel and care

Both come in under 100Wh, the standard carry-on threshold. EcoFlow notes that airline rules vary, so check with your carrier.

EcoFlow says the RAPID Pro X keeps over 80% of its capacity after 300 cycles. It should be charged and used between 0°C and 40°C, below 3,000 m altitude, stored between -20°C and 40°C, and recharged at least every three months.

Who should buy which

EcoFlow RAPID Pro X

  • You want the fastest top-up during a layover, or you’ll use EcoFlow’s 320W station at your desk.
  • You like a built-in retractable cable and charging four USB-C devices at once.
  • You want a big, customizable screen and Wi-Fi app access.

Anker Prime 26K 300W

  • You run two 140W laptops from fixed ports at the same time.
  • You still have USB-A gear.
  • You want the lighter, slimmer bank for $20 less on the maker store.

FAQ

Can both go on a plane?

Yes. At 99.54Wh (EcoFlow) and 99.75Wh (Anker), both are under the 100Wh carry-on limit most airlines use. Confirm with your airline.

Which recharges faster?

The EcoFlow: 80% in 20 minutes on its 320W station, or 26 minutes at 280W over USB-C, according to EcoFlow. Anker lists 80% in 40 minutes at 250W.

Do they support pass-through charging?

EcoFlow says yes, with a charger of 20W or more. Anker’s details are in my Prime 26K review.

Does the RAPID Pro X need the app?

No. EcoFlow says it’s plug-and-play, but recommends connecting once to update the firmware.

Which is lighter?

Anker’s Prime 26K at 600 g. EcoFlow lists 700 g for the RAPID Pro X body.

Bottom line

These are two of the strongest carry-on power banks available. The EcoFlow RAPID Pro X is the one to pick if recharge speed and a four-device, cable-included setup matter most. The Anker Prime 26K 300W is lighter and slimmer, costs a little less, and has two fixed 140W ports plus USB-A. Either one will keep a laptop, phone and even a Starlink Mini running on the move.
