Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 16, 2026

This page explains what information ryzzun.com collects when you visit, why, and what choices you have. We keep it in plain English and only describe tools this site actually uses.

Who we are

Our website address is: https://ryzzun.com. Ryzzun is run by Luis Angel, who publishes hands-on reviews and guides about power stations, solar, home batteries, Starlink accessories and backup power gear. In this policy, “we,” “us” and “our” mean Ryzzun and Luis Angel.

You can reach us by email at luisangel@ryzzun.com or through our Contact page.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form (your name, email address and, if you add it, your website), and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. Your email address is never shown publicly. Your name, website and comment are public once the comment is approved.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

Visitors can’t upload images to this site through comments. If you have an account on this site and upload images, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

This site doesn’t use a contact form. If you email us at luisangel@ryzzun.com, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you and to handle the request, such as a review or partnership inquiry.

Server and security logs

Like most websites, our web server automatically records basic technical information when pages are requested, such as your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time. Our security tools (Wordfence, Limit Login Attempts Reloaded and Really Simple Security) also check traffic and login attempts to block attacks and spam. We use this information only to keep the site running and secure.

Cookies

Cookies are small files saved in your browser. This site uses a few:

  • Comment cookies: if you leave a comment and tick the box, your name, email address and website are saved in cookies so you don’t have to type them again next time. These cookies last for one year.
  • Login cookies: these only apply to people who log in to the site, such as the site owner. Visiting the login page sets a temporary test cookie, and logging in sets cookies that remember the login and screen settings. Login cookies last for two days, or two weeks if you select “Remember Me,” and screen options cookies last for a year. Security plugins may also set a cookie for logged-in users.
  • Analytics cookies: Google Analytics may set cookies or similar identifiers, as described under Analytics below.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though you may have to re-enter your details when commenting.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site include embedded YouTube videos, mostly from the Ryzzun YouTube channel. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. When a page with a video loads, or when you play it, YouTube (owned by Google) may receive your IP address and browser details and may set cookies.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. See Google’s Privacy Policy for how YouTube handles data.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, set up through Google’s Site Kit plugin, to understand how many people visit, which pages they read and how they found the site. Google Analytics collects information such as pages viewed, time on page, the referring website, approximate location (based on IP address), and device and browser type. It may use cookies or similar identifiers to tell visits apart. We use these reports in aggregate to improve the site, not to identify individual visitors.

Google processes this data under its own terms. You can learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Affiliate links

Some links on ryzzun.com are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. We may also earn a commission from other brands and retailers we link to, at no extra cost to you.

When you click an affiliate link and go to Amazon or another retailer, that retailer may set cookies in your browser to track the referral and credit the purchase. Those cookies are controlled by the retailer, not by us, and are covered by the retailer’s own privacy policy. We receive commission reports from these programs, but they don’t tell us who you are.

Who we share your data with

We don’t sell or rent your personal information. We share data only with the services that help run the site, as described on this page: our web hosting provider, Google (Analytics and YouTube) and Gravatar (comment avatars). We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect the site and its visitors from fraud or abuse.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. You can ask us to delete your comment at any time.

Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to handle your message and any follow-up, then may be deleted. Server and security logs are kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting. Google Analytics data is kept according to the data retention setting in our Google Analytics account and Google’s policies.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. To make a request, email luisangel@ryzzun.com. We may need to confirm it’s really you before acting on the request.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to ask us to delete it, to ask us to correct it, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We do not sell personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Visitors in the EU, EEA and UK (GDPR): you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to ask for a copy of it. We rely on your consent for comment cookies, and on our legitimate interest in running, measuring and securing the site for analytics and logs. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Where we send your data

Comments, Analytics data and server logs may be processed by service providers in the United States and other countries where they operate. Gravatar checks for comment avatars as described above.

Third-party websites

Our articles link to other websites, such as Amazon, brand websites, spec sheets, government sources and YouTube. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please read their privacy policies when you visit them.

Children’s privacy

This site is meant for adults and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact luisangel@ryzzun.com and we will delete it.

Your contact information

If you have questions about this policy or want to make a privacy request, email luisangel@ryzzun.com or use our Contact page.

Additional information

How we protect your data

The site uses HTTPS encryption and security plugins (Wordfence, Limit Login Attempts Reloaded and Really Simple Security) to help protect against attacks. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to keep data safe.

What data breach procedures we have in place

If we learn of a security incident that affects your personal data, we will take steps to contain it and notify affected people and authorities where the law requires it.

What third parties we receive data from

We receive aggregated reports from Google Analytics and Google Search Console, and commission reports from affiliate programs such as Amazon Associates. These reports don’t identify individual visitors.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

We don’t use automated decision making or profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects on you. Comments and login attempts may be screened automatically for spam and attacks.

Industry regulatory disclosure requirements

In line with U.S. Federal Trade Commission guidelines, we disclose affiliate links and products sent to us by brands. See the Affiliate links section above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site or the tools it uses change. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. This version is effective as of October 16, 2026.
