Can the Delta 3 Max Run a Table Saw, Miter or Circular Saw?

Will the EcoFlow Delta 3 Max run a circular saw, 10-inch miter saw or 15A table saw? Startup watts vs its 4,800W surge, cuts per charge and test tips.

Will the EcoFlow Delta 3 Max run your saws? A circular saw, almost certainly. A 10-inch miter saw, very likely. A 15-amp table saw is the one to test before you rely on it. The difference comes down to startup surge, the split-second spike when a big motor spins up, compared with the Delta 3 Max’s 4,800W surge limit.

Testing note: Our SKIL, DEWALT and Metabo HPT saw tests and our table saw startup test are scheduled. Wattages below come from manufacturer specs and generator-sizing charts; runtimes are our labeled estimates. We’ll update this page with measured results.

Job-site safety: OSHA 29 CFR 1926.404(b)(1) requires GFCI protection (or an assured equipment grounding conductor program) for employee use of 120V 15/20A receptacles on construction sites. We haven’t verified whether the Delta 3 Max outlets are GFCI-protected, so use an inline GFCI cord for crew use.

The Two Numbers That Decide It

  • Running watts must stay under 2,400W continuous.
  • Starting watts must stay under 4,800W surge.

Most 15A saws run at roughly 1,400–2,000W, which is comfortably under 2,400W. Startup is where saws differ. The Solar Lab reported the Delta 3 Max handling surges better than older EcoFlow models, but every motor is different.

Circular Saw: Yes

Typical 7-1/4″ circular saw
Running1,400–1,500W
Starting2,300–3,000W
Fit✅ Comfortable
Continuous cutting per charge~1.1h (our estimate)

Popular picks like the SKIL 5280-01 15A Circular Saw and the DEWALT DWE575 fall in this range. An hour of actual blade-spinning time is a lot of cutting. At a realistic 10–20% duty cycle, that’s most of a work day of intermittent cuts.

How many cuts? It depends on material and blade. A crosscut through a 2×4 takes a few seconds; ripping plywood takes much longer. We’ll count real cuts per charge on camera rather than guess.

Miter Saw: Likely, but Test the Startup

Typical 10″ compound miter saw (15A)
Running~1,800W
StartingUp to ~3,600W
Fit✅ Likely
Continuous cutting per charge~0.9–1h (our estimate)

The Metabo HPT C10FCG2 and the DEWALT DWS713 are two of the best-selling 10″ miter saws. Their startup should fit under 4,800W, but community threads on other Delta models include at least one report of a miter-saw start tripping the overload. Soft-start motors help. Check your saw’s manual for a soft-start feature.

Table Saw: Borderline

Typical 10″ jobsite table saw (15A)
Running~2,000W
Starting~4,000–4,500W
Fit⚠️ Close to the surge limit
Continuous cutting per charge~0.8–0.9h (our estimate)

A 15A table saw’s startup can come within a few hundred watts of the Delta 3 Max’s 4,800W surge rating. It may start fine, it may trip, and it may start cold but trip when the blade binds mid-rip and the motor bogs down. Ripping thick hardwood pushes running power higher too.

If you plan to run a table saw:

  1. Test it at home with nothing else plugged in.
  2. Make sure the blade is sharp and the fence is aligned; a binding blade draws far more power.
  3. Use soft-start models where available.
  4. Don’t run a dust extractor or shop vac on the same station at startup.

Rules for Running Saws on the Delta 3 Max

  • One saw at a time. Running watts add up, and starting a saw while another tool runs is the easiest way to trip overload.
  • Use 12-gauge cords, as short as practical. Long, thin cords cause voltage drop that makes motors work harder.
  • X-Boost won’t help. It’s designed for resistive heaters, not motors. Leave it off for saws.
  • Don’t keep resetting after a trip. Repeated forced overload resets are hard on the tool and the station.
  • Keep the station away from sawdust. Put it upwind and off the floor, and keep its intake clear.

Recharging Between Cuts

At lunch, the Delta 3 Max refills from a wall outlet or generator at up to 1,800W, about 68 minutes to 80%. Cordless tools are another way to stretch the day. Our power tools job-site guide covers battery-charging math for packs such as the DEWALT 20V MAX combo kit.

Bottom Line

If your work centers on circular and miter saws, the Delta 3 Max is a capable, quiet, fume-free cutting station. If a table saw is your main tool, test it first, or consider a station with more surge headroom; compare options in Delta 3 Max vs Jackery, Anker and Bluetti. Delta 3 Max Saws FAQ

Can the Delta 3 Max run a table saw?

Possibly. Running watts fit, but startup on a 15A table saw can approach the 4,800W surge limit. Test it first.

Can the Delta 3 Max run a miter saw?

Most 10″ miter saws should start and run. Test your saw’s startup before relying on it.

How long will the Delta 3 Max run a circular saw?

About 1.1 hours of continuous cutting, which stretches across most of a day with typical stop-and-start use (our estimate).

Does X-Boost help power tools?

No. X-Boost is meant for resistive heating loads, not motors.
