AUXBEAM 3500A Jump Starter Review: Reviving My Lexus’s Completely Dead Battery

My AUXBEAM 3500A jump starter review: starting my Lexus with a completely dead battery, testing the 150 PSI air compressor, features, pros, and cons.

My Lexus had a completely dead battery. Not weak. Not struggling. Completely dead. When I turned the key, none of the dashboard lights came on at all.

That ended up being the perfect real-world test for the AUXBEAM 3500A Jump Starter With Air Compressor. Instead of a staged demo, I got to see whether this compact jump pack could bring a truly dead car back to life, and then I tested its built-in tire inflator too.

In this AUXBEAM 3500A jump starter review, I’ll cover the specs, how the jump start went, the air compressor, the safety features, the pros and cons, and who it’s for.

What Is the AUXBEAM 3500A Jump Starter?

The AUXBEAM 3500A Jump Starter (model AJ3500) is a portable 12V lithium jump pack with a built-in 150 PSI air compressor. AUXBEAM rates it for up to 8.0L gas and 4.0L diesel engines, and says it can provide up to 20 jump starts per charge.

It’s a 6-in-1 roadside tool: jump starter, tire inflator, dual USB phone charger, and a light with flashlight, SOS, and strobe modes. AUXBEAM says it’s smaller than a lunch box, so it can live in your trunk or glove box.

Key Specs and Features

  • 3500A peak jump starting current
  • Supports up to 8.0L gas and 4.0L diesel engines
  • 10,400mAh lithium polymer battery (per the listing)
  • Built-in 150 PSI tire inflator
  • Automatic shut-off at your preset pressure (PSI, kPa, or Bar)
  • Large 2.4-inch display showing battery life, tire pressure, and error codes
  • Dual USB charging ports
  • Flashlight, SOS, and strobe modes

How I Used It: Jump Starting a Completely Dead Lexus

In the video, I start by showing the condition of my Lexus. When I turn the key, absolutely nothing happens. No dashboard lights. No signs of life from the battery.

Next, I connected the AUXBEAM jump starter using the included clamps: red clamp to the positive terminal and black clamp to the negative terminal on the battery.

After waiting a few seconds, I went back into the car and tried the ignition again. This time, the Lexus started almost immediately.

What I like about this demonstration is that it’s not a simulated test. The battery was completely dead, and you can see the entire process from start to finish in the video.

The Large Display Helps

The 2.4-inch display makes it easy to see important information while you’re using it. AUXBEAM says it shows battery life, tire pressure, and error codes, and it’s designed to stay readable even in bright sun.

Testing the Built-In Air Compressor

I also demonstrate the built-in air compressor. You set your target pressure, attach the hose to the tire valve, and the inflator automatically stops once it reaches the pressure you selected. That means you don’t have to stand there watching a gauge the whole time.

AUXBEAM also includes a cooldown reminder and recommends letting the air hose cool before storing it.

Compact Enough to Keep in the Car

The jump starter is compact enough to store in a vehicle without taking up much space, and the cables store neatly with it. That’s important, because a jump starter only helps if it’s actually in your car when you need it.

Two Roadside Problems, One Tool

Dead batteries and low tire pressure are two of the most common roadside problems drivers run into. Having a jump starter and tire inflator in a single device means one less thing to pack, and you don’t need to wait for another car to give you a jump.
