EcoFlow Delta 3 Max vs Anker SOLIX S2000: Which 2kWh Station Fits You?

EcoFlow Delta 3 Max vs Anker SOLIX S2000: 2400W vs 1500W output, charging, solar, idle draw and weight. Who should buy which 2kWh power station.

The EcoFlow Delta 3 Max and the Anker SOLIX S2000 both store about 2kWh of LFP energy, but they’re built for different jobs. The Delta 3 Max is tuned for output and fast recharging. The S2000 is built around low idle draw and a compact body. If you’re stuck between the two, this breakdown shows which one fits your plans.

Where the EcoFlow Delta 3 Max Wins

Output headroom. 2,400W continuous is 60% more than the S2000’s 1,500W. That means a microwave plus a coffee maker, a space heater, a hair dryer, or a circular saw in the garage can all run without hitting the limit. In the video, Jeff runs a load above 1,500W, which is where the S2000 would stop, and the Delta 3 Max keeps going.

Recharge speed everywhere. It’s faster from the wall, takes 25% more solar input, and gets about 500W from EcoFlow’s alternator charger versus about 400W on the S2000. If you drain the battery daily, those minutes add up. For panel pairings, see our Delta 3 Max solar setup guide.

The 12V socket. 12V car fridges, tire inflators and CPAP DC cables plug straight in without the inverter. That saves energy, as we explain in the camping guide.

Where the Anker SOLIX S2000 Wins

Idle draw and small-load runtime. This is the biggest real-world difference, and several commenters were right to push on it. With a fridge averaging 60W, the inverter’s idle draw is a large share of the total:

  • Delta 3 Max: 60W + ~27W ≈ 87W, so about 19 hours on ~1,620 usable Wh.
  • S2000: 60W + ~6W ≈ 66W. If its usable energy were similar, that would be about 24–25 hours.

These are estimates built from published or measured idle figures, not side-by-side tests. The direction is clear, though. For multi-day outages with small loads, a low-idle unit stretches further. One commenter reported 33 hours on a fridge with their S2000. We can’t verify that, but it fits the math.

Size and weight. About 10 lb lighter, with an upright footprint that’s easier to store.

Outlets on both sides. The S2000 has outlets front and back, so always-on devices can stay plugged in behind it.

Who Should Buy Which

  • Choose the EcoFlow Delta 3 Max if you want one station for both home backup and trips. It suits anyone who runs kitchen appliances or tools, recharges often from solar or a car, or wants the 12V socket. Read the full EcoFlow Delta 3 Max review.
  • Choose the Anker SOLIX S2000 if it will mostly sit at home and keep a fridge, router, lights and phones going as long as possible, and nothing you own pulls more than about 1,500W.

Several viewers asked why the comparison wasn’t against the Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2, a closer 2,400W rival. We compare that one, plus Jackery and Bluetti, in our Delta 3 Max vs Jackery, Anker and Bluetti roundup.

A Note on the Comment Section

The top comments under this video are unusually uniform praise for the Delta 3 Max, and one viewer called them out as bot-like. We don’t treat them as owner feedback. More useful were the critical comments about idle draw, the C2000 question, and a report of software issues that we couldn’t verify.

Prices

At the time of writing, the EcoFlow Delta 3 Max is on Amazon and so is the Anker SOLIX S2000. Prices on both change often, and one commenter noted the S2000 was about $200 cheaper when they checked. Compare the day you buy.

EcoFlow Delta 3 Max vs Anker SOLIX S2000 FAQ

Which runs a fridge longer, the Delta 3 Max or the S2000?

On paper, the S2000, because its rated idle draw is much lower. The gap shrinks as the load grows. We plan to test both on the same fridge.

Can the Anker S2000 run a microwave?

Most 1,000–1,200W microwaves fit under 1,500W, but check your microwave’s input watts, which are often higher than its cooking watts. The Delta 3 Max has more margin.

Is either one expandable?

The Delta 3 Max is not. See is the Delta 3 Max expandable. Check Anker’s spec page for the S2000.

Do both work as a UPS?

Both switch over in about 10ms, which is fast enough for most routers, PCs and NAS boxes.
