When I head to the beach or the lake, I bring a lot of rechargeable gear: paddle board inflators, a water scooter, phones, and more. Instead of charging everything the night before and hoping it lasts, I wanted a way to charge it all from my vehicle. So I brought the Pro Chaser 400W Power Inverter along for a day on the water.
In my video, I use it to charge two rechargeable paddle board inflators through the USB ports while also running my water scooter’s charger from one of the AC outlets.
In this Pro Chaser 400W power inverter review, I’ll cover its specs, how it worked on my beach and lake trip, important usage tips, the pros and cons, and who it’s for.

My Beach and Lake Test
For this review, I brought the Pro Chaser Power Inverter with me for a day at the beach and the lake.
One of the biggest advantages is being able to turn your vehicle into a portable power source. Instead of bringing multiple charging solutions, I plugged the inverter into my vehicle’s 12V outlet and started charging the gear I planned to use on the water.
I used the USB charging ports to recharge both of my paddle board inflators while powering my electric water scooter from one of the AC outlets. It was nice to recharge multiple devices from one compact inverter instead of juggling several different chargers.
Fast USB-C Charging
The 65W USB-C PD port is another feature I appreciate, since it provides fast charging for compatible devices like phones, tablets, and other USB-C electronics. I also use this same port to power my Starlink Mini with a USB-C cable in another video.
Compact With a Long Cord
The inverter doesn’t take up much room, so it’s easy to store in a center console, glove box, or gear bag. The 30-inch cord makes placement more convenient, especially when your equipment is farther away inside the vehicle or in the back seat.
Important Usage Tips
- One high-power device at a time. Pro Chaser recommends connecting only one high-power device at a time.
- Don’t max out your socket. Using the 65W USB-C port and AC outlet together may exceed your vehicle socket’s limit.
- Check the wattage. The AC outlets are for devices within the inverter’s 400W rating, and your vehicle socket may limit that further.
- Modified sine wave. Some sensitive electronics prefer a pure sine wave inverter.
